The Cultural Heritage Administration will launch a project this year to better take care of 55-hundred cultural properties exposed to the elements across South Korea.

The project is a preventive management system, in which provincial governments and other authorities visit and take care of cultural assets on a regular basis as well as repair minor damage.

The administration said the project will keep the cultural properties and surrounding environment clean and save funding for repairs.
