Pitcher Yoon Suk-min to Join Baltimore Orioles

South Korean pitcher Yoon Suk-min has reached a deal to play for the Baltimore Orioles of U.S. Major League Baseball.

CBS Sports said Thursday that Yoon's deal is pending a physical, but he appears to be in good shape to pass.

Details of Yoon’s deal have yet to be revealed. A report on the official Web site of U.S. Major League Baseball, MLB.com, says Yoon and the team agreed on a three-year, five-point-75 million dollar contract.

A source close to Yoon said the former KIA Tigers pitcher plans to promptly take the physical. The source said Yoon will then return to South Korea to get a U.S. work visa so he can join the Orioles for spring training.

The Orioles are part of the American League East, which also includes the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. The Orioles ranked fourth in the league last year.
