Korean Bobsledders Finish 19th on First Day

South Korean Won Yun-jong and Seo Young-woo finished 19th in the two-man bobsled on their  first day of competition at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The two-man team finished 19th out of 30 teams with a combined time of one minute 54-point-61 seconds in their first and second races.

The two-man team of Kim Dong-hyun and Jeon Jeong-rin team ranked 25th with a time of one minute 55-point-54 seconds. 

The four athletes will compete in the third and fourth races Monday night.

In women's speed skating, Kim Bo-reum finished 21st in the 15-hundred meters at one minute 59-point-78 seconds.

Figure skater Kim Yu-na, who won gold at the Vancouver games, had her first practice session at the Iceberg Skating Palace. 

In the medal tally, South Korea ranks 17th with one gold, one silver and a bronze.
