South Korean boy band “Dong Bang Shin Gi” known as TVXQ has won five awards at the 28th Japan Golden Disk Awards.

TVXQ on Friday garnered “Best Asian Artist,” “Best Album of the Year,” “Best 3 Album,” “Best Download Song of the Year,” and “Best Music Video” awards.

The Japan Golden Disk Awards, hosted by the Japanese Record Association, celebrate artists and albums that contributed to the advancement in the record industry, based on the sales of albums and videos.

Meanwhile, South Korea girl group Girls' Generation's second and third full length albums also won the "Best 3 Albums" award.
