Gov’t Allows Civic Group to Send Aid to N. Korea

The Unification Ministry has approved a South Korean civic group to provide humanitarian aid to North Korea.

The relief organization plans to send 200 million won worth of medicine to 19 North Korean hospitals.

The government has allowed six organizations so far this year to send more than one-point-nine billion won worth of humanitarian aid to the North.

The ministry says it will approve civic groups’ requests to provide aid to the North if they fulfill all the requirements.
