S. Korean Short Trackers Sweep 1500m at World Championships

South Korea swept the women’s 15-hundred meters on Friday at the ISU-Short Track Speed Skating World Championships.
 
Shim Suk-hee won gold with a time of two minutes and 34-point-423 seconds at the competition in Montreal, Canada. Kim Alang won silver and Park Seung-hi took bronze.
 
In the men’s 15-hundred meter event, Park Se-yong won bronze, beating Russia’s Viktor Ahn. Canada’s Charles Hamelin won gold and China’s Han Tianyu took silver.
 
Meanwhile, Shim Suk-hee, Park Seung-hi, Cho Ha-ri and Kong Sang-jeong came in first at the women’s three-thousand meter relay semifinals.
