Anchor: Athletes from all over the world bid their farewells at Russia's Black Sea resort in Sochi on Sunday at the closing ceremony of the Winter Paralympics. South Korea did not medal at this year's event, but members of Team Korea spoke about their aspirations for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games.

Report: The 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia ended on Sunday with a flashy, firework-filled closing ceremony.
The ceremony featured a tribute to the creator of popular video game Tetris, Alexey Pajitnov. Performers used brightly-colored blocks to create a message of hope. The blocks spelling out "impossible" were transformed when an apostrophe was added to read "i'm possible."
International Paralympic Committee president Philip Craven handed over the competition's flag to Leok Seok-rae, the mayor of Pyeongchang. The South Korean city will host the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
Chief of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and Paralympics organizing committee Kim Jin-seon said he is determined to host a successful 2018 games.

"We will prepare for the Pyeongchang Olympics in the Korean way and the Pyeongchang way for the world to see."
At the Sochi paralympics, host country Russia won overall with 30 gold medals and 80 medals in total.
South Korea did not medal at the games, but its ice sledge hockey team gave an impressive performance. Korea missed out on the final four, but it beat Sweden 2-0 in the classification match for seventh place.
Team member Jeong Seung-hwan talked about medal prospects in Pyeongchang if more athletes became involved in ice sledge hockey.

"We beat powerhouse Russia from the very first match in a dramatic win. We saw the possibility and hope. I will work hard to become a fine player such as footballer Lionel Messi."
The captain of Team Korea at the Sochi paralympics, Han Cheol-ho, was also optimistic.

"Team Korea didn't showcase its full this time but it was great practice to prepare for the next Olympics."
With the nine-day competition over, the 547 athletes from 45 countries will return home. The Paralympic flame at Sochi's Olympic Park has been extinguished, but a glow is beginning to emerge from Pyeongchang as Koreans prepare for the 2018 Winter Paralympics. Many of this year's athletes will be there when the flame is lit again, competing to make their countries proud.
