The Literature Translation Institute of Korea plans to participate in an international book fair next week to promote Korean illustrated books.

The institute said on Wednesday that it will participate in the 51st Bologna Children’s Book Fair set for Monday through Thursday in northern Italy.

The institute, which has participated in the event since 2009, plans to set up a booth within the international exhibition hall to display Korean illustrated books. It will also hold workshops and arrange meetings between authors and the readers.

Korean illustrators Kang Kyung-soo and Yoo Joon-jae, who won international awards for illustration, will meet with visitors at the international book fair to introduce Korean illustration.
