Seoul to File Complaint Over Figure Skating Judging at Sochi

South Korea will file an official complaint with the International Skating Union (ISU) over the scoring in the women's singles figure skating competition at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The Korean Olympic Committee and the Korea Skating Union will send a joint letter to the ISU disciplinary committee urging the skating body to review the makeup of the judging panel at the Sochi games. They will also call for stringent reform of the ISU to prevent similar disputes on judging in the future.

South Korean figure skater Kim Yu-na won silver medal in the ladies single event in Sochi last month, finishing more than five points behind Russia's Adelina Sotnikova.

But a controversy grew internationally as those baffled by the results pointed out that Kim gave a nearly flawless performance while Sotnikova made a noticeable landing mistake.
