Pro Baseball Aims to Draw 7 Million Fans

South Korean professional baseball teams aim to match 2012's attendance record, with the 2014 regular season set to open on Saturday.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on Tuesday that the nine teams aim to draw more than seven million fans during the regular season, or an average of 12-thousand per game.

The target represents an increase of nine percent over 2013.

The two teams sharing Seoul's Jamsil Stadium, the LG Twins and Doosan Bears, aim to draw the most fans, with goals of one-point-24 million and one-point-15 million respectively.
