U.S. Submits New Resolution on Iraq to UNSC

The United States, Britain and Spain have submitted a new resolution on Iraq to the U-N Security Council. White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said Tuesday that the new concise resolution underscored the message of the first resolution, calling on Iraq to disarm. The resolution is also focused on seeking U-N approval for military action against Iraq. France, Russia and Germany, which oppose the war option, have circulated an alternative plan to pursue a peaceful disarmament of Iraq over the next five months.
