N. Korea Blames Park for Denuclearization Urges in Hague

Pyongyang has denounced President Park Geun-hye for stressing North Korea's denuclearization at the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague.

The North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency on Thursday cited a spokesman for the North’s Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland as describing Park's remarks as absurd.

Calling the South Korean president by her name, the North Korea spokesman also described Park using expressions such as "stay-at-home woman's gibberish nature," and "her manifestations of ignorance."

The spokesman said if Park wants better South-North relations, she must find discernment and reason, and refrain from making remarks about the North.

This is the first time the North Korean committee has criticized Park by name since the two Koreas agreed at a meeting of high-level officials in February to stop slandering each other.
