Rhythmic Gymnast Son Wins Gold in Lisbon

South Korean Rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae won three gold medals on Sunday at the 2014 World Cup series for rhythmic gymnastics.

Son won the gold medal in ball, club and ribbon at the FIG World Cup in Lisbon, Portugal.

The feat came a day after Son took gold in the competition’s individual contest, becoming the first South Korean ever to win the top prize in that category.

The competition in Lisbon was the second of eight FIG World Cup B competitions that will take place this season.

Son will compete for more medals on Friday in the next World Cup series in Pesaro, Italy.
