Speed Skater Lee Kyou-hyuk Retires after Six Olympic Games

South Korean speed skater Lee Kyou-hyuk has officially retired.

Sport officials and athletes attended a retirement ceremony on Monday in downtown Seoul for Lee, the only South Korean to ever compete in six straight Olympics Games.

Lee said he is grateful even though he never made a podium finish, and he would not have been as thankful if he had actually won a medal.

Lee's Olympic debut came in the 1994 Lillehammer Games, and he finished his career at the 2014 Sochi Games.
