A new South Korean film starring Hyun Bin will open in North America next month.

The film's local distributor, Lotte Entertainment, said Monday "The Fatal Encounter" will be released on 25 North American screens on May 23. 

Directed by Lee Jae-gyu, the movie depicts an assassination attempt on King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty in his first year on the throne. 

The historical thriller’s local release is set for April 30th.
