Australia to give wheat aid to North Korea

The Australian foreign affairs minister Alexander Downer said that Australia has decided to provide the World Food Program with wheat worth 3 million Australian dollars to help reduce the food shortages in North Korea. Minister Downer said the decision was in line with the emergency requests by the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
