North Korea's state media criticized the recent trilateral talks held between six-party talks envoys from Seoul, Washington and Tokyo, stating the U.S.' actions in rejecting talks with the North and raising tensions were pushing the Korean Peninsula further away from denuclearization.
The North's Korean Central News Agency said Washington would be held responsible should the disarmament process on the Korean Peninsula run into failure.
The report also said the U.S. was attempting to improve soured ties between South Korea and Japan by using the North Korea situation to bring the three allies together.
KCNA added that the goal of strengthening ties between the U.S., South Korea and Japan was to crush North Korea, executing the U.S.' strategy for the Asia-Pacific region. Pyongyang also stated Washington was looking for methods to boost its military influence in the region and by doing so was deliberately repeating an evil cycle of raising tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
