Spammers to Receive Punishment for Unsolicited E-Mails

The Ministry of Information and Communication says Korean online marketers sending obscene spam mail will be punished. The ministry referred to the prosecution a total of 42 online marketers seeking criminal punishment on charges of sending pornographic e-mails to teenagers and adults. Under the law, pornographic spam e-mailers to teenagers can receive up to two years in prison and a fine of up to more than eight thousand dollars.
