N. Korea Threatens to Sternly Deal with S. Korea

North Korea has claimed South Korea is driving inter-Korean relations toward a destructive path and threatened to sternly address the matter.

The North's Korean Central News Agency reported Monday that the Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland blamed President Park Geun-hye.

The North Korean committee said Park is behind the South's criticism of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s New Year’s address and Pyongyang’s nuclear program and missile development.

The committee also denounced Seoul for concluding that Pyongyang sent spy drones to the South, saying the conclusion was reached without decisive proof.

The North also compared the drone investigation with the South's probe into the sinking of the Cheonan naval ship in 2010 for which Pyongyang was blamed.

The committee said the South would not be able to avoid its responsibility for driving inter-Korean relations toward a destructive path.
