Seoul has rejected Pyongyang’s offer to jointly investigate drones that recently crashed in the South, saying it is absurd to let the suspect participate in the investigation of a crime.
 
A presidential official told reporters on Tuesday the government is conducting a more than sufficient probe and will continue the investigation in a scientific manner to prove the North sent the drones.
 
North Korea’s National Defense Commission issued a statement on Monday dismissing the result of Seoul's investigation, calling it unscientific and unrealistic.
 
The commission also suggested Kim Jang-soo, the presidential office’s head of national security, lead a South Korean mission for a joint probe.
