Anchor: Two of South Korea’s top gymnasts will compete this weekend at the 2014 Korea Cup. They are busy preparing for the competition, which comes ahead of this fall’s much anticipated Incheon Asian Games. Our Kim Soyon has more.
Report: The 2014 Korea Cup will bring 115 top gymnasts from 19 countries to compete in Incheon on Saturday and Sunday, including South Korean stars Son Yeon-jae and Yang Hak-seon.
Rhythmic gymnast Son won four medals in early April at the FIG World Cup in Lisbon, Portugal. She continued her momentum at the 2014 World Cup series in Pesaro, Italy, winning two medals with a world class performance earlier this week.
Son, who just returned home to take part in the Korea Cup, is determined to give her best, as she views the tournament as a dress rehearsal for the Incheon Asian Games in September.
