Religious Groups Pray for Safe Return of Missing Passengers

South Korea's religious groups are continuing to pray for the safe return of passengers still missing from the sunken Sewol.

The National Council of Churches in Korea plans to establish prayer sites for the missing at churches and to hold a prayer week from the day after Easter. The Communion of Churches in Korea will pray for the missing during worship services.

The Buddhist sect, including the largest Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, will hold a prayer session at the Jogyesa Temple Saturday. One-thousand-five-hundred people will attend the prayer session to perform three-thousand prostrations.

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea is also hoping for the safe return of the missing by holding prayer services at churches.
