A group of overseas Korean businessmen have crossed the border and visited the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea to facilitate inter-Korean economic exchanges.
A 34-member group visited the complex Friday morning and returned to the South later in the afternoon.
The delegation included 17 members of the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (World-Okta), which has 130 chapters in 68 countries worldwide.
Also among the group are 12 executive officials and leading CEOs of the World Korean Business Convention who were hosted by the Overseas Koreans Foundation.
During their visit, the officials surveyed prospects of investing in the complex, buying products and building factories in Gaeseong.
World-Okta Chairman Kim Woo-jae said that the delegation is satisfied with the quality of products from the joint factory park.
He said that the overseas Korean businesses will provide the South Korean government with their plans for investing in Gaeseong by October.
