N. Korea Simplifies Entrance Procedures for Chinese Tourists

The China News Service says North Korea has simplified entrance procedures this year for Chinese tourists.

The news agency said it only took two hours for 140 Chinese tourists to enter the North’s Onsong County in North Hamgyong Provice from the Tumen River Bridge. The news agency covered a story on a train tour program that resumed late last month for Chinese tourists departing from Tumen and visiting the North’s Mount Chilbo and surrounding areas.

Next month the North plans to launch a program for Chinese tourists to depart from Dandong, Liaoning Province and travel by car to areas along the North Korea-China border.
