The South Korean men's national football team announced the final roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Thursday. Manager Hong Myung-bo unveiled the 23-man roster at the National Football Center (NFC) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, north of Seoul.
Former Arsenal Forward Park Chu-young will lead the attack. Joining Park on the frontline will be Bundesliga player Koo Ja-cheol and K-Leaguers Kim Shin-wook and Lee Keun-ho.
For the highly contested midfield slots, Hong picked Europe-based players Ki Sung-yueng, Son Heung-min, Lee Chung-yong, Kim Bo-kyung and Ji Dong-won.
Three more midfielders based in China and Japan also made the roster; they are Ha Dae-sung, Han Kook-young and Park Jong-woo.
The defense consists of Kim Jin-su, Yoon Suk-young, Kim Young-gwon, Hong Jeong-ho, Kwak Tae-hwi, Lee Yong, Hwang Seok-ho and Kim Chang-su.
Finally the three goalkeepers are Jung Sung-ryong, Kim seung-gyu and Lee Bum-young.
The national team will begin training in Paju on May 12th, one month ahead of the World Cup.
