Religious Liberty Partnership to Seek Improvement in N. Korea Human Rights

The Voice of America says the Religious Liberty Partnership has called for North Korea to improve its human rights conditions.

The international Christian organization urged the North in a statement to release prisoners. It added North Korean officials responsible for violating human rights should be subject to trials and sanctions.

The group also said Christians in the North are being oppressed as North Korean authorities regard Christianity as a serious threat.

The Religious Liberty Partnership said it will increase its research on the North’s violation of human rights and religious freedom, including recording testimonies by North Korean escapees.
