Korea Night Event to be Held at Dodger Stadium in LA

The Korea Tourism Organization says it will hold a Korean Heritage Night at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on May 27.

The organization announced on Wednesday that a taekwondo performance will take place before the baseball game. Singer Jung Yong-hwa of idol group, CNBLUE, will sing South Korea’s national anthem and singer Ali will sing the U.S. national anthem at the event.

South Korean advertisements will be aired on electric boards and light-emitting screens at the stadium. Appreciation plaques will be presented to South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the LA Dodgers and Park Chan-ho, the first South Korean to play in the Major Leagues. Park will also throw a ceremonial first pitch.

The LA Dodgers plan to give out bobbleheads of Ryu to 50-thousand people in the stadium.
