The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have teamed up to address adolescents’ use of abusive language.
KBS announcers delivered lectures on the proper use of the Korean language at a middle school in Seoul and Jeju Island on Monday.
KBS announcers have visited schools to teach students to properly use the Korean language since 2011.
This year, they will visit some 100 middle and high schools across the nation to discourage students from overusing slang and foul language.
