Gov’t to Build More Public Sport Facilities

The government will build more accessible public sports facilities as part of efforts to encourage South Koreans to exercise more in their everyday lives.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced Monday a mid-term plan to increase the number of sports facilities across the nation.

Under the plan, the government will spend over one-point-two trillion won to create one-thousand-124 public sports facilities by 2022.

It will also open a Web site offering information about those facilities by 2016.
