National Football Team Manager Vows to Reignite Hope in Brazil

The manager of the national football team has promised to rekindle hope in Korean people through Team Korea's performance at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

South Korea’s football team Hong Myung-bo held a news conference before the team departed for Miami Friday morning. The national team left for their last training session before the World Cup, set to kick off in June.

The manager said the team will enhance its strengths and work on its weaknesses during the time left before the matches.

He pledged his best efforts to rekindle hope and boost spirits in a nation reeling from the ferry tragedy.

Since Hong took the helm in June last year, Team Korea has prepared for the Brazil World Cup, playing 14 matches in the past year.

Team Korea will play its first match in Group H against Russia on June 18.
