45 percent said they would watch at least one of Team Korea's matches on TV, and 32-point-three percent said they would watch all of the matches. Only about six percent said they would skip viewing altogether.
Meanwhile 69 percent said they will not take part in street cheering.
GSM pointed out that because the matches will be broadcast in the wee hours of the day in Korea, marketing activities surrounding street cheering would decline during this year's World Cup, while mobile and internet marketing activities are likely to surge.
In the tournament, South Korea will play in Group H against Russia, Algeria and Belgium. The team is currently training in Miami, and will arrive in Brazil on the 12th, then face Russia for its first matchup on the 18th.
