Snowpiercer Selected as Opening-night Film of LA Film Fest

The South Korean film “Snowpiercer” has been selected as the opening-night film for the 20th Los Angeles Film Festival.

The film’s director, Bong Joon-ho, and leading actor, Song Kang-ho, attended the festival’s red carpet event in front of the LA Live Regal Cinemas.

Snowpiercer is the first South Korean movie to be screened as the opener in the LA film fest.

Other South Korean films will be screened, including Lee Su-jin’s “Han Gong-ju” and Lee Yong-Seung’s “Ten Minutes.”

Some two-hundred films from roughly 40 countries will be screened at this year’s festival.
