Argentinian Referees to Officiate S. Korea-Russia World Cup Match

FIFA has announced that referees from Argentina, including Nestor Pitana, will officiate South Korea’s match against Russia on Wednesday.

Starting with the Brazil World Cup, FIFA will designate three referees from the same country for each match to prevent any miscommunications.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s team led by Manager Hong Myung-bo arrived in Cuiabá late Sunday and was escorted to its hotel by police officers.

The South Korean players will train for two days at the Federal University of Mato Grosso before their first World Cup match against Russia.
