Korean Football Team Gears up for Victory Against Algeria

Anchor: The South Korean football team has returned to base camp in upbeat spirits after a 1-1 draw with Russia in its first match of the Brazil World Cup. With favorable weather conditions and no reported injuries, the national team has buckled down to prepare for a victory in its next match against Algeria.
Our Kim Soyon reports.

Report: After South Korea’s match against Russia ended in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday, the national team is now back at its base camp in Foz do Iguacu.

Except for Lee Chung-yong who has a slight limp over a stress fracture, no other players have been injured.

The mood at practice has also lifted after the first match. Lee Keun-ho, who scored the goal in the match, and Son Heung-min, who made an impressive World Cup debut, appear to be upbeat.

In a training session at the base camp, the key players warmed up to recover from the match against Russia, while other members held a scrimmage.

The temperature at Foz do Iguacu has fallen to 18 degrees Celsius on Thursday, making practice conditions more favorable.

Porto Alegre where the Algeria match will be held is forecast to be even cooler, which will be ideal for the players.

"We will be able to run around more than in the first match. The weather won't be a challenge. I'm really looking forward to the match."

Team Korea suffered a crushing defeat in a friendly match against Ghana shortly before the World Cup began, but seems to have regained its confidence after the match against Russia. The players are ever more united and determined to claim a victory against Algeria in the match set to air in Korea Monday at 4 a.m.
