The Boryeong Mud Festival has won four prizes at this year’s Pinnacle Awards Korea competition hosted by the Korean branch of the International Festivals and Events Association.
 
The mud festival was recognized for its outstanding TV promotion, Web site, promotional brochure and poster.
 
An organizer of the festival said the Boryeong Mud Festival has significantly helped promote South Korea overseas as it has been covered by various international news outlets, including CNN.
 
This year’s mud festival will be held for ten days from July 18 to 27 at Daecheon Beach near Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province.
