N. Korea Positively Considers Participation in Incheon Asian Para Games

The head of a charity organization for North Korea says the North is positively considering participating in the Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games.

Shin Young-sun, joint head of the Green Tree Charity Foundation said Wednesday that senior officials of the North’s Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled expressed they would consider the North's participation in the sporting event.

Shin, who visited the North earlier this month, met with the federation officials last Monday.

The Green Tree Charity Foundation is based in the U.S. and provides food and medical supplies to some 20 health and medical centers, as well as facilities for the disabled in the North.

The Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games will open two weeks after the Incheon Asian Games close and run from October 18-24.
