South Korea's largest Buddhist order has decided to allow Buddhist nuns in its disciplinary organization.

The Jogye Order held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday and decided to appoint two Buddhist nuns to the nine-member organization.

The order, however, decided that the appointed nuns will only deal with disciplinary punishment on other Buddhist nuns.

The motion for including Buddhist nuns in the disciplinary organization was rejected twice, once in June of last year and once in March.
