Koreans living in Belgium took part in a joint cheering session with Belgian locals at a downtown stadium for the Korea-Belgium World Cup match held early Friday Korean time.
 
The South Korean Embassy in Brussels said it held the event with the Watermael-Boitsfort municipality in the Brussels-Capital Region.  
 
The embassy said Korea-Belgium friendship night events were also held, including a Korea promotional video that screened before the match, a K-pop performance and a taekwondo showcase.

Korea lost to Belgium 1-0, failing to advance to the World Cup knockout stage.
