Search Efforts for Missing S. Korean Soldier Enters Fourth Day in East Timor

Search efforts are continuing for the fourth day for a missing South Korean solider of the U-N peacekeeping force in East Timor. The Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said more than 120 South Korean soldiers of the Evergreen Unit stationed in Oecussi and two helicopters were deployed for the search of corporal Kim Jeong-jung. An official of the Joint Chiefs of Staff added that the local people were also helping out in the search. The official said the search will continue until they find corporal Kim. On Thursday, four South Korean soldiers serving as part of the U-N peacekeeping force in the South Asian country were killed after being swept away by strong currents caused by heavy rainfall. The accident occurred when the South Korean soldiers were crossing a river in Oecussi, about 200 kilometers from East Timor
