The preparation committee for the papal visit to Korea made a music video public on Monday to promote the visit of Pope Francis slated for mid-August.

The video titled Koinonia, a Greek word meaning fellowship, features around 30 Korean celebrities and artists.

The participants, mostly Roman Catholic adherents, express their anticipation of the papal visit in the music video. They include actor Ahn Sung-ki, actress Kim Tae-hee, and Ballerina Kim Joo-won.

Noh Young-shim, a singer-songwriter who also appears in the video, said she composed the song, hoping the papal visit would inspire more people to pray. She said the song is a present to the pope.

The song will be sold through major music distribution and streaming sites in South Korea. The preparation committee says the proceeds from the sales will be used to help people in need.
