Written: 2003-03-10 00:00:00Updated: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

The government is planning to expand citizens' "right to enjoy sunlight." Currently, the Construction Law requires a certain distance between buildings so as not to block the sunlight, which is viewed as vital to physical and mental health. But the law doesn't guarantee the right to sunlight in cases involving overpasses, elevated roads and railroads.
