Japanese Lawmakers Delegation Visits Gaeseong Complex

North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency says a delegation of Japanese lawmakers visited the Gaeseong Industrial Complex on Sunday.

The state-run agency said Sunday that the delegation toured the Gaeseong park, the truce village of Panmunjeom and the Chung Ju-yung Stadium, following a concert by the North’s National Symphony Orchestra in Pyongyang.

The delegation is made up of six member of the opposition Japan Restoration Party and is headed by House of Councillors member, Antonio Inoki. The delegation also includes employees of Sports Peace Community Association, Inoki’s nonprofit organization.

Inoki is said to be planning to hold an international pro wrestling competition in Pyongyang at the end of next month.

The delegation, which arrived in Pyongyang Thursday, met with Secretary Kang Sok-ju of the North's ruling Workers' Party. The members will return home on Monday.
