18th Puchon Int’l Fantastic Film Festival to Open This Week

The 18th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival will open on Thursday in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.
 
During its 11-day run, the festival will feature 210 movies from 48 countries.
 
The movie “Stereo” by German director Maximilian Erlenwein will open this year’s festival. The closing film will be the Korean romantic thriller “My Ordinary Love Story,” which was directed by Lee Kwon, and stars Song Sae-byeok and Kang Ye-won.
 
The opening ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the Bucheon Gymnasium with actors Shin Hyun-joon and Yoo In-na as emcees.
 
Prior to the opening ceremony, various film stars like Hyun Bin, Sohn Ye-jin and Kim Woo-bin will pose for photos on the red carpet outside the gymnasium from 6 p.m.
 
The closing ceremony will also be held at the gymnasium on July 27.
 
Organizers expect over 50-thousand people to come and watch movies during the festival period.
