South Korea has a new slogan to promote the country’s tourism.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Tourism Organization unveiled the new slogan at a launch ceremony on Tuesday. They also announced their goal of attracting 20-million overseas tourists by 2020.
The Korea Tourism Organization said the new slogan, "Imagine Your Korea," embodies the nation’s hidden charms that inspire and stimulate imagination.
It also conveys the message that tourists can create their own unique experience during their stay in Korea.
Designs promoting the slogan feature Korea’s traditional colorful striped pattern, which symbolizes a dynamic country and extends a warm welcome to all visitors.
With the launch of the new slogan, the tourism organization will release a new commercial starring Korean boy band Big Bang in countries across the world. Big Bang is this year’s goodwill ambassador for the tourism organization.
