Dongseo Univ. to Set Up Korean Language Institute in Lithuania

King Sejong Institute (KSI) will set up its first Korean language school in the Baltic states with a branch set to open in Lithuania this fall.

Dongseo University said Wednesday that South Korean authorities, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, gave their approval to run a "“Sejong Hakdang” at Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania from October.

Dongseo University and Romeris University have also established 22 joint undergraduate degree courses in digital content and will begin to teach the courses from the fall semester.

Mykolas Romeris University is a national university located in the country's capital of Vilnius. The university is ranked the second in the country with 22-thousand enrolled students.

Currently, there are 113 KSI Korean language schools worldwide. KSI gave approval for 17 new schools to be established in 2014, including Dongseo University.
