South Korea won a silver medal in the men’s team épée finals in the World Fencing Championships in Kazan, Russia.
 
The four-member team lost to the French team 45-39 in the last day of the championships.
 
South Korea won a total of four silver medals in the fencing championships to place seventh. The achievement has raised hopes for South Korea to show a strong performance in the Incheon Asian Games to open in September.
