A South Korean government official said Friday that Pope Francis will ride in a Kia Soul during his August visit to South Korea.
 
The pope had expressed his wish to use a small sized Korean car during his visit. He had also previously said he will not use bullet-proof vehicles, following his appointment as pope.
 
The Kia Soul has an engine displacement of one-point-six liter and is categorized as a compact car.
