Business Insider says North Korea ranks as a world leader for submarines.
 
The U.S. online media analyzed the Global Firepower Index, which rates the armed forces of 106 countries, and said in terms of pure numbers, the North has more submarines than any country in the world.
 
The North topped the list with 78 submarines, followed by the U.S. with 72 and China with 69.
 
Citing the U.S. Department of Defense, the magazine said a third of North Korean submarines were noisy diesel-powered Romeos, which have been obsolete since 1961.
