Gyeongbok Palace to Open at Night thru August 11

Starting on Wednesday, the Gyeongbok Palace in downtown Seoul will be open at night through August 11.

The Cultural Heritage Administration said it's introducing the summer night hours for the palace for the first time this year. It says the palace will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. and that lights have been installed for key palace buildings.

A limit for daily visitors is set at no more than 15-hundred.

Tickets were sold out for most days immediately after reservations began last week. Still, 110 tickets are available at the door each day for overseas visitors and senior citizens aged 65 and over.
