N. Korea Returns Body of S. Korean Man

North Korea returned the body of a South Korean man on Wednesday that was found off the North’s western coast.

The South Korean government plans to hand over the body to the family of the man as soon as confirming his identity.

The North's Red Cross informed Seoul on Tuesday through the Panmunjeom liaison office that it had discovered the body in waters near Ongjin County in South Hwanghae Province.

The government said the returned body belongs to a 61-year-old man who was reported missing on June 24 after he left to go fishing on a boat from South Korea's western port city of Incheon.
